Welcome to the inaugural Cardiff-By-The-Sea Music and Arts Salon – July 13th, 2025
Dedicated to the life and legacy of Jeanie Katzeff and all creative women.
Thank you for joining us today in a shared music and arts experience. With you attendance here today, we create a world of peace, harmony and joy through building community around music and the arts. Let’s make it beautiful!
The format of the salon is for seven performers to share their artistic expression for about 15 minutes each. There will be no intermission. Following the final performance there will be a celebratory toast, light food and the opportunity to meet and ask questions of the performers.

The following are the performance and a highlight in the order of their appearance.
Andrea Clearfield

A Philadelphia-based classical music composer who has written 175 works primarily for opera, chorus, orchestra, chamber ensemble. She graduated with a doctorate in Music Composition from Temple University. She is the Founder, Curator and Host of the Philadelphia Szalon Concert Series , now celebrating 39 years.

Cinballera Entertainment

Cinballera Entertainment was founded by sister Tiffany and Rebekah Brannan in June 2023. The name stands for its three areas of focus, Cinema, Ballet, and Opera; it’s pronounced “cheen-ball-era” to reflect opera’s Italian background. They bring youthful passion with old world sensibility to their productions and performances.

Big Boss Bubeleh

Big Boss Bubeleh is lead by Yael Gmach and Vlady Yarovinsky, and is a North County San Diego-based ensemble performing and recording artists. Big Boss Bubeleh, draw inspiration from roots music they obviously love, an alchemy of Gypsy jazz, Klezmer, torch songs, blues and swing, as well as calypso and assorted French references.

Sharon Katz and the Peace Train

Sharon Katz is the passion of South African musician, music therapist and humanitarian Sharon Katz who began her anti-Apartheid work as a teenager. Soon after Nelson Mandela was released from prison, Sharon formed the country’s first, 500-member multicultural choir and band known as The Peace Train.

Pointeworks

Pointeworks completed its second season as a nonprofit ballet company in July. Sophie Williams founded the company when she saw a need to offer performers and choreographers the opportunity to work during their off season. This share passion has connected artists and audiences through shared passion for dance. Reka Gyulai and Lester Gonzalez dancers a pas de deux that was choreographed by Reka.

Fred Benedetti

Fred Benedetti began studies of classical guitar at the age of 16 and by age 26 was one of 12 guitarists worldwide to perform in one of the last masterclasses of Maestro Andres Segovia. He plays all genres of music, from Klemer with Yale Strom’s Hot Pstromi to Beatles medleys performed with his daughters as part of the Benedetti Trio, who celebrated their 20th anniversary as an group last night, July 12th, 2025.

Sue Palmer and Liz Ajuzie

Sue Palmer and Liz Ajuzie have been playing together for almost 5 years, both as part of Sue’s larger band Sue Palmer & her Motel Swing Orchestra, and in smaller groups. Sue is known world-wide as the Queen of Boogie Woogie. She has been a presence on the live music scene in San Diego for over 30 years. Liz Ajuzie is a Jazz and Blues singer that has been singing for her whole life. As a first generation Nigerian American, she is the second child of Nigerian parents. Together Sue and Liz perform as a duo with songs that range from Irving Berlin to a song written by Sue and honoring her friend and late great blues singer Candye Kane.
