Piano Donation
It is with deep gratitude and great appreciation to David Heet, who donated his late wife, Diane’s 1923 Steinway Model A grand piano, to be used by pianists at future Cardiff-By-The-Sea Music and Arts salon events.

David said: “This piano has been a blessing that has been present as long I have known Diane. I have had a greater blessing than I’ll ever deserve by being married to my bride (Diane) of 13 1/2 years. They were the best years of my life. Diane was a wonderful, adoring woman who was a powerful mover and shaker of the (Carson City and Gardnerville, Nevada) communities.”
Diane was an accomplished pianist who loved and took care of her piano.
According to Mark Adams, Registered Piano Technician “(despite) needing service of the actions parts, the piano looks mostly original, and is on the time capsule side”. The Model A piano is considered rare. It was manufactured during the “Golden Era” and is renown for its quality materials. Diane’s 1923 Steinway Model A has an African Mahogany case.
We delighted about the generous donation and look forward to having Diane’s piano be the central focus of future Cardiff-By-The-Sea Music and Arts Salon events.
May Diane’s memory be a blessing always!
