Elena Yarritu and Cho-Hyun Park

Elena is a former Bay Area resident, Dr. Elena Yárritu currently makes her home in San Diego, California where she is performing artist, teacher and conductor. Also a collaborative artist, Yárritu performs with Dallas based pianist Gabriel Sanchez and is a resident artist for the Silicon Valley Music Festival. As co principal flute, she performs with the La Jolla Symphony & Chorus under the direction of Steve Schick and David Chase. She offers private lesson to intermediate and advanced flutists in North County San Diego.

After earning her doctorate and walking away from being a concert pianist to raise her two daughters, Cho-Hyun make her come back by practicing 10 hours to enter an international piano competition in Italy. Read about her story here. Cho-Hyun teaches piano and has performed with Elena previously.
