Ian Harland and John Opferkuch
Ian is an accomplished and cool jazz musician who explores many genres of music. He keeps adding to his repertoire. He is an accomplished drummer but has settled on vibes as his instrument to master and enjoy. When you hear him, you’ll know why. He is also extremely good at mathematics and is a Canyon Crest Academy and SDSU alum. Ian is on a growth path and with hard work and the right opportunities, he is headed for great things. We are honored to have Ian perform at the Cardiff-By-The Sea Music and Arts salon.

John is an east coast transplant from Bridgewater, Massachusetts. As an accomplished pianist/keyboardist, and a solid music background at Yale and the New England Conservatory, he found his home performing with local jazz heroes including Peter Sprague and Mark Lessman. John played clarinet adequately while in high school, but he is quick to acknowledge his son Max who he admits inherited the clarinet genes in the family Max performs nationally and with the San Deigo Symphony. John is very likeable and easy to talk to and willing to help people connect with musicians.
